Let me just preface with this: I LOVE RYAN AND CAREY. They are such a wonderful and laid back couple to work with. When we initially met to discuss their wedding, we clicked immediately. I have been looking forward to photographing their big day for months, I knew it would be an event filled with their family, closest friends, and a LOT of good food. Their wedding was also filled so many personal details, everything from the Italian meal, to the wine bottles made by the groom’s family as favors for the guests, the AMAZING homemade desserts, the giant cupcake in place of a wedding cake, Carey’s fabulous red & white Mary Jane shoes…. It was such a great evening, and honestly, I am so glad they chose me to capture it.
We did pictures before the wedding, so this is them seeing one another for the first time.

They are a couple after my own heart…cupcakes are my FAVORITE treat !

Bethany contacted me about doing pictures of Andrew since he just turned 1. (He’s quite precious.) We did a few of the three of them too. I think they are such a sweet little family. Lots of smiles and candids. Just what I like.

Time to catch up on some blogging before I get too behind….
Amanda & Jeff were married this past Saturday in the late afternoon, which turned out to be much better than the cloudy, wet morning that started off the day. By the time we went out for portraits though everything was dry, and the sun was shining. Honestly, I really love this set of portraits. We didn’t have a whole lot of time to get things done, so we were rushing a bit, but I really love these images. We caught the 6 o’clock evening light, which was so beautiful streaming through the tree tops at Pearson Park (I love that place…) Amanda & Jeff are such a laid back, super chill couple so it was really lovely working with them and capturing their day. I have so many favorites from our time together at the park that those are the only images I’ll be posting for the sake of keeping this post from becoming extremely long.

Amanda’s request…it’s their “thing” they do

INCREDIBLE light.

These two little darlings are cousins. I have known both of their families for awhile, I photographed Bennett when he was a baby, and I photographed Ella’s mom & dad’s wedding a few years ago, and then along came Ella, so I began photographing her every 6 months or so. So a few times a year I meet up with these lovely families to photograph them. Ella is about to celebrate her second birthday, and Bennett is four. I love being able to see them every year, and see how much the kids have grown. And my, do they grow. Quickly.

I have put my sweaters away. Spring has sprung in this town. Isn’t it lovely? Things are busy, busy, busy around here…
