Two darlings who were willing to withstand the cold, dreary winter weather for their engagement shoot. Thankfully, I kept thinking of August, (their wedding month) to keep me warm. Unfortunately, it did not help. But despite the chill, their pretty faces don’t show it, they look lovely. But the cold is good for one thing, snuggling and making cute pictures.

Brooke & Justin.
Snow is good for one thing: cute photoshoots. (Other than that, no thank you. I’ll take the sun & green grass.) But since Brooke & Justin live out of town and won’t be back much until their wedding this summer, we met while they were home for Christmas. Brooke’s grandmother has acres of beautiful property out in the country, so it was the perfect backdrop for our shoot, and even better covered in snow.

Rock ‘n Roll Bride Love.
Jodie & Stephen’s engagement session was featured on the fabulous Rock ‘n Roll Bride ! Check it out here. It’s a great site full of beautiful inspiration. Thanks Kat, for the feature.

Hello, 2010.
Wishing you a (very belated) Merry Christmas & Happy New Year ! The truth is, I took a few weeks off during December to enjoy the holidays with my husband and our families. We had a wonderful month ! But now, its back to business.
A few weeks ago I did an engagement session for two of my long time friends, Jodie & Stephen, who are getting married in just a few short weeks. They wanted to do something out of the norm (which I always love to hear) so they brought some really fun vintage props, and then I came up with an unusual location for the shoot…which they loved ! For the first part of the shoot we stopped in a local alley way and then we headed out of the cold and into, well, a laundry mat. Ironically enough, Stephen used to be in a band that I did photos for years ago, and we did their shoot in a laundry mat as well. I haven’t shot in one since then, I was waiting for the perfect couple. And well, these two lovebirds just fit the idea. Their wedding is going to be a beautiful winter wonderland of sorts and in a fabulous location, so stay tuned.
ps. Remembering the Day Photography is getting a BIG makeover. More on that later…

Meggan & Mark.
I have gotten to know Meggan over the last few years since she’s the one who keeps my hair looking fabulous. (She works at Shamas…go see her, she’s got talent with those scissors.) Anyway, when she asked me to photograph her wedding, of course I was so happy to accept. These two love birds are getting married this time next year. An autumn wedding…how lovely !

Angel & Zak.
Whew, what a week. Things have been pretty darn busy around here. Anyway, these two beautiful faces are good friends of my husband and mine. They are getting married next month at one of my favorite locations (oh, you’ll see). Their wedding will be a very eclectic event with a lot of special details, and I am really looking forward to not only capturing their day, but being able to share in the beauty of their becoming Mister & Misses. I am so happy they are finally gettin’ hitched! We went to a new location for their engagement shoot. The light was a perfect warm, evening light…my favorite. I also did a little different post-processing on some of their images to fit their vintage inspired-wedding.

Crazy Month…
I’m a little behind on blogging. Again. But this is a two wedding weekend for me, so its going to be a bit longer before I catch up. Needless to say, things are CRAZY-busy this month and there just aren’t enough hours in the day. In the meantime, take a little sneak peek of a session I did this week with two of my beautiful friends who are gettin’ hitched in a few short weeks ! I have a few good things to share too in the coming days….
Until next time, lovelies.

John & Jessica.
These two are getting married late next month. John told me they wanted to do something out of the norm for their engagement session, so that’s just what we did. I took them to a few of my favorite locations in town. I just loved Jessica’s dress, it’s from Anthropologie (my favorite place…she’s a girl after my own heart !) Here are a few of my favorites from our time together:

Stephanie & Erik
This past weekend my beautiful friend Stephanie & her fiance Erik came to town for her bridal shower and I was able to steal them away for an hour to do some engagement photos. We went to the University of Toledo campus for their shoot (where I’ve never been before this session, can you believe that?) and I kind of loved it. Anyway, these two lovebirds are getting married late next month in Atlanta, and I’ll be catching an early morning flight to shoot their big day. I.can’t.wait ! They are getting married downtown Atlanta which will be FAB-U-LOUS. I am really looking forward to capturing their wedding and feel honored that they chose me to be the one

This is a good month ! I can’t believe how quickly it’s going, but lots of good things are happening around here. Later this week the husband, myself and one our friends are heading to Toronto for a concert and then some hangout time in the city. I’ve never been so I am really excited to see it. Passports are packed, we’re ready to go.
I. love. summer….
Blaire & Chris
I’m back from vacation. We actually got back last Friday, just in time for me to shoot a wedding on Saturday. Would you believe I didn’t take my camera out once while we were gone? (Well, I did take a few polaroids but that’s about it.) It was SO nice to get away. I have a more trips planned this year, mostly photo-related, but some not so much
Anyway, before I left for vacation, I did a photo shoot with Blaire & Chris. Blaire & I went to high school together, so I was really excited when she contacted me about shooting her wedding. They are getting married in October, which at the rate this summer is going, will be here sooner than we know…
